About chEMPOWER

Established by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute® (ACS GCI), the chEMPOWER Initiative is committed to expanding the awareness and practice of Green Chemistry by:

• Educating chemists, students and the general public about Green Chemistry
• Developing educational materials for use in K-12, undergraduate and graduate curriculums and helping students to travel and participate in training and workshops
• Educating chemists about the Principles of Green Chemistry and developing tools and materials to help them implement the principles
• Inspiring Green Chemistry practices by honoring successes in the field
• Supporting activities and developing materials for the International Year of Chemistry in 2011, which is focused on Green Chemistry
• Developing standards for the practice of Green Chemistry

chEMPOWER relies on financial donations to continue our mission to empower the scientific community to adopt greener practices.
